History: Day 1: Embarkation Day; September 21, 2009
Embarkation Port.
Our first look at Destiny (It looked pretty big to a couple of first-timers!)
We were pretty happy to be there. :)
Arty Shot.
Gangway on the gangway! (Comin' through!)
Miami city view from the top-deck.
Good old 'Whale-Tail'.
Moorage for yachts in the distance.
More views of Miami.
Outdoor Theater under the Whale Tail.
First Cocktail of the cruise. :)
Kickin' it. :)
Pool-deck, theater deck.
Imagination was docked aft of Destiny.
Good old Cabin 6150. Our home away from home.
It was a Category 8A balcony stateroom.
Notes on 6150: It was relatively close to the front of the ship. The only time this made a difference was at night when we noticed some rolling with the waves/tide. Both Nic and I found it quite relaxing to go to sleep with the bed gently rocking us. If you're prone to motion sickness, maybe a stateroom closer to the mid-point would be more relaxing. Otherwise I would recommend it highly as a good choice for an 8A Balcony Stateroom. Outside noise was non-existent.

My Sweetie enjoying the balcony. :)
Definite balcony love here.
Norwegian Dream was anchored at the bow.
There's Imagination Again.

Ahead of Norwegian Dream was Majesty of the Seas.

Another Carnival Ship debarking ahead of us.
(I didn't catch it's designation.)

The Atlantic, and the unnamed carnival Ship in the distance.

More Miami Beach.
Lifeguard Hut on Miami Beach.
In the distance: Hollywood or Fort Lauderdale?
Ah, the sea air is refreshing!
Glad to be heading out.
Adios, Miami!
Destiny's grand Atrium.
